As of recreational projects, ‘The Greenprints Project’ calls for the construction of trails along with the city's natural areas like the Little River, Noonday Creek, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property. Bike lanes, which are deemed trails in the concept, would be created along city streets. When finished, the project will have added more than 60 kilometers of pathways connecting every public venue, retail district, and neighborhood.
The new memorial for 10 tons of polished stone, dedicated to Woodstock soldiers, was revealed by Woodstock on 25 May 2009, which reads, "To the men and women of Woodstock, Georgia who served in our country's armed forces in their honor, protecting our freedom and way of life.”
